Hazel Diane
Hazel Diane is a sweet petite Olympia Portable SM3. A slate grey dame, she comes with her own carrying case. So she’s ready to travel the world at a moment’s notice. Born in 1956, she’s every typist’s dream. Philly Typewriter fully restored her to her former ladylike glory, and she’s our #1 co-creator. She always travels with us when we type impromptu poetry at events. Hazel has a witty disposition and a smoothly demure sound when she works. Of course she does— she’s a true 1950’s beauty queen.

Franz Wilhelm
Our newest friend is a real gentleman— Franz Wilhelm, a Royal KMM. He’s got a curvy body & textured black finish. Born in 1938, Franz was given to us by a friend whose family member once worked in a typewriter factory. Wow, what a great job! He was injured before he came
to us— his carriage is non-operational. We’re looking for ways to get him back in the game, but until then Franz is happy just sitting around looking devastatingly handsome. Can typewriters be eye candy, too? I think so.
Victoria Josephine
Victoria Josephine is a dark moody Remington #12 and loves being mysterious. So mysterious that it’s unclear if she was born in 1889 or 1923 (we’re still searching the archives). She’s the original goth girl’s dream with glass keys and a heavy (very heavy) onyx frame. She definitely has a mind of her own and has been known to refuse to move if the letter “Q” is used. Maybe she’s just giving us the opportunity to stretch our vocabulary and learn new synonyms. It would be a hefty price to get Victoria restored, and we love her just the way she is anyway. Who doesn’t love a dark love story where the heroine conquers the world despite her shortcomings?
Spike Edgar
Spike Edgar is an Oliver #9 typewriter and was born in 1919. He is a rare gem and has an imposing stance. His unique batwing shape allows his strikers to hit the paper from the left and the right. What an ingenuitive guy! Spike’s olive complexion gives him a determined aura like he’s ready for anything, be it war, working, or wooing the ladies. He is next in line to be fully restored, and we hope we raise enough money to do it in style. Soon he’ll be back in his powerful prime. Watch out, ladies, your hearts won’t stand a chance!
